Passo, Darrell M.
Darrell Passo, 69, of Marshfield died peacefully at home on April 23, 2013 after a valiant battle with gastric cancer.
Darrell was born November 21, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN. He was the youngest of two boys born to Sally and Bill Passo. He attended schools in Roseville, MN and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Stout in Menomonie, WI in 1965. He married Patricia Hughes on December 18, 1965 in Chippewa Falls, WI.
Darrell taught school in Riverside IL for four years then moved to Marshfield and taught Industrial Technology and Driver's Education at the Junior and Senior High for 35 years.
He had many outside interests: Curling Club member, Boy Scout leader, bowler, golfer, motorcycle rider, snow mobile and hunter safety instructor, and 43-year member of the Elk's Club. He loved to hunt and fish at his beloved cabin near Woodruff, Wisconsin. Traveling was a favorite activity.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia of Marshfield, three children: Mike Passo (Cheyenne Black) of Bellingham, WA, Kelly Passo-Fasel (Markus Fasel) of Mendota Heights, MN and Adam Passo of New Berlin, WI; and five granddaughters, Alexandra Fasel, Ella Fasel, Kamea Black, Coral Black, and Solstice Black. He leaves one brother David (Gaye) Passo of Prescott, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Sally Passo.
The family wishes to thank Ministry Home Hospice for their kindness during Darrell's last days and the many friends and family who have provided much support.
Funeral services will be 1pm Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield.
Visitations will be from 10am Saturday at Rembs Funeral Home until time of service.
