Dorothy J. Sipe, age 82, of Marshfield, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Parkway) in Marshfield. The Rev. Joel Rogers-Deaner will officiate. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be held on at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, January 29 in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward.

Dorothy was born on November 14, 1930 in Rapid City, S.D., the daughter of Casey and Delores (Jobe) DeKramer. She graduated from Hayward High School. She married Howard Sipe on November 5, 1949. Dorothy worked as a switchboard operator in Hayward, a long distance operator in Marshfield, as office manager for her sister Judy's newspaper office in Blue Earth, MN and later returned to Marshfield to work at St. Joseph's Hospital as a switchboard operator until retiring in 1995.

Dorothy cherished time spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed, sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting, and playing the piano. Those that knew her best will miss her warm spirit and her love of music.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Kathleen (Mark) Brennen, Pleasant Prairie, WI and David (Mary) Sipe, Sheyboygan Falls, WI, Judy (Ronald) Krohn, Pittsville, Heidi Sipe, Phoenix, AZ, Deborah (Rik) Multerer, Marshfield, Melissa (Glenn) White, Stratford and Derek (Adrienne) Sipe, Atlanta, GA; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three sisters: Geraldine Kilps, Lodi, WI, Maxine Martineau, St. Paul, MN and Judy Tuff, Naples, Fl; and a brother-in-law, George (Irene) Michel, Spooner, WI; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Casey and Delores; sisters, Jo Michel and Delores "Babe" Downey; as well as a brother, Arvid DeKramer.
