Elizabeth Marie McGinnity Pinion, 59, Marshfield, died of cancer at her home on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 with her family lovingly by her side.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am until service time.
Beth was born on September 28, 1953 in Edgerton, the daughter of Robert and Dolores (Eckstein) McGinnity. She grew up in Edgerton on the family farm where her father was born and raised. Whether she was helping her mother in the house or working out in the fields with her father, she loved living in the country and being brought up on the farm.
Beth graduated from Edgerton High School in 1971 and moved to Madison, WI that fall. She then attended Madison Area Technical College and graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1972. In March of 1972 she married John R. Pinion and they divorced in 1990. In 1975 they moved to Marshfield and had four children. Beth has said this was the best time of her life. She had always wanted to become a mother. It was obvious to anyone that knew her that her family was the most important element in her life.
Beth worked at Allied Health of Wisconsin Dragt Chiropractic from 1994 until 2011. She truly enjoyed helping and getting to know her patients. She had a natural, caring way with people that came straight from her heart. In March of this year Beth accepted a position in Occupational Health at Marshfield Clinic.
Beth was a wonderful mother, sister, daughter and friend. She was supportive and kind, tender and loving. She took great joy spending time outdoors, working on her lawn and garden, and watching the various birds come and go. Her favorite was the cardinal. Being a grandmother was the perfect extension to her love of being a mother and she cherished her three grandchildren with immeasurable abundance. She will be considerably missed.
She is survived by her four children and three grandchildren, Jonna Pinion, and her children, Jet and Nyla Steltz; Kyle (Jenny) Pinion, and their daughter, Kelsey; Devan Pinion, and Luke Pinion. She is also survived by three sisters and a brother, Terri McGinnity, Bridget Cox, Ann (Jeff) Schmeling, and Tom McGinnity. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews and a good friend, Gary Tauschek.
She was preceded in death earlier this year by her younger sister, Bobbi and by her parents, grandparents and two brothers in infancy.
