George L. Wolf, 92 formerly of Chili died on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Bethel Center in Arpin. He had been living at the Delaney House in Pittsville since 2008.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville with Fr. Jim Logan officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery in Chili.

Visitations will be from 9:30am Saturday until time of services at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville.

Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

George was born on January 6, 1921 in the Eckes Settlement, Town of Lincoln, Wood County to Andrew and Matilda (Engles) Wolf.

He was united in marriage to Gladys J. Hutter on May 23, 1945 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville. She sadly passed away on November 19, 1996.

George was a dairy farmer in Chili, carpenter and a manager for a cranberry marsh in City Point prior to retirement.

George is survived by six sons, James Wolf of Chili, Ron (Sandy) Wolf of Chili, David (Jane) Wolf of Chili, Tom (Joni) Wolf of Wisconsin Rapids, Tony (Diane) Wolf of Chili, John ( Rhonda) Wolf of Chili, three daughters, Susan (Michael) Luebke of Pound, Mary (Dan) Gallichio of New Port Richey, FL, Joan Wolf of Middleton, and a daughter-in-law Deb (Steve) Wolf-Steiner of Stratford; 23 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.

Besides his parents and wife Gladys, he was preceded in death by a son Michael Wolf in 1977, five brothers, Edward, Nick, Joseph, Matthew and Arthur Wolf along with one sister Lucille Stuplich.
