Kenneth Eugene Noble
Kenneth E. Noble, age 68 of Marshfield, peacefully entered eternal life on May 7, 2013 at the House of the Dove in Marshfield. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield. Pastor Art Scottberg will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Full military rites will be performed at the funeral home following services by the American Legion Post #54 of Marshfield. Pallbearers will be Alan Billings, Dennis Demuth, Scott Dreckman, Jerry Keyes, Gene Morrison, and Jeff Pichler.
Kenneth E. Noble was born on September 11, 1944 in Stevens Point, the son of Harry and Irene (Swanson) Noble. Ken was raised on a farm in the Junction City area. He attended Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962. He was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard. Ken continued his education at Spencarian Business School, University of Wisconsin -Stevens Point, and Marquette University. He earned his degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. He also was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant.
Ken was married to Louise M. (Berard) Noble on June 25, 1966 at the Wisconsin Rapids Assembly of God. They moved to Marshfield in 1972 where Ken began work for Klinner Accounting Firm. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to open his own business, Kenneth E. Noble, C.P.A., S.C. During that time, Ken served the Marshfield community for over 40 years.
Ken and Louise had three children together and later were divorced. Ken married Betty (Kadrlik) Rogers in September 1991.
As part of his retirement, Ken sold his business to Hawkins, Ash, Baptie & Company, LLP; he worked with the firm until 2010.
Ken had many interests. He was a Chevrolet classic car enthusiast and participated in countless car shows. He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and gardener. He also enjoyed relaxing at his cabin in the Chequamegon Forest, Taylor County. He was a founding member of the Marshfield Area Whitetails Unlimited. He also loved spending time with his family. He particularly lived to watch his granddaughter Elicia, who he affectionately called "Half-Pint," grow.
Ken is lovingly surviving by his children: Scott (Jean) Noble of Marshfield, Christopher Noble of Wauwatosa, WI, Lisa (Scott) Dreckman and granddaughter Elicia of Springfield, MO, and a step-daughter, Angela (Wade) Stone and grandchildren Emilee, Natalie, Logan, and Lucas of Oak Harbor, Washington. He is further survived by his siblings: Carol (Dennis) Demuth of Tulsa, OK, Caren (Jerry) Keyes of Warsaw, IN, Ron (Suzanne) Noble of Wisconsin Rapids and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Irene Noble, his first wife Louise in September 2003 and wife Betty in December 2000, and a granddaughter, Elise Dreckman in October 2007.
