Phyllis Ann Huber, 56, of Stevens Point, WI went to Heaven to join the Angel Band on Monday, June 10, 2013. Phyllis loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. With music as her passion, she planned and led worship services at churches in Marshfield, WI and Missoula, MT; performed with her band, Country Folk; enjoyed pickin' parties with good friends; and loved teaching children the joy of creating music. Many people were touched by her beautiful voice, and her soul is reflected in these lyrics: "She had faith, she had believing, led all the people together in singing. Prayed every night to the Lord up above, hallelujah, hallelujah. Oh, she sure could sing. Yes, she sure could sing." Phyllis joins her parents Robert and Bernadine Gauger in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Larry; two daughters, Cara (Brady) Hermans, of Stevens Point, and Katie (Russ) Ward of Missoula, MT; and her grandchildren Jacob and Lucas Hermans. Additional survivors include many beloved friends and family. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield at 11 am with visitation beginning at 9 am. A service will be held in Missoula, MT at a later date. The family is accepting monetary donations in lieu of flowers. A children's music charity will be selected. Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family.
