William Anthony Schroeder, age 69, of Marshfield, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital with his wife by his side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM, on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield. A time of visitation will be held from 9:30 until service time at the church on Wednesday. Father Samuel Martin will be officiating. American Legion Post 54 will conduct the Military Honors.

Bill was born on November 17, 1943 the son of Carl and Ethel (Kulps) Schroeder in Burlington, Iowa. He enlisted and proudly served in the US Navy. He worked in the Medical Supply Industry; even owning and operating his own medical equipment company. On August 27, 1976 Bill was united in marriage to Rosemarie Tosch in Stoughton, Wisconsin.

He enjoyed trap shooting and volunteering time at the animal shelter. Those that knew him best will miss his warm spirit and his love of boating.

William is survived by his wife, Rosemarie of Marshfield, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ethel.

Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are encouraged to do so in Bill's name to the Marathon County "No Kill" Animal Shelter.
