Agnes K. Krause, 93 of Marshfield died peacefully on Wednesday morning, February 19, 2014 at Stoney River Assisted Living in Marshfield.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30am Monday, February 24, 2014 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Fr. James Logan officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery Veterans Field of Honor alongside her husband Ernest. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post # 1866 of Marshfield at the church following the funeral Mass.

Visitations will be from 10am Monday until time of services at Our Lady of Peace. There will be a VFW Auxiliary Memorial service at 10:15am at the church.

Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Agnes was born on March 14, 1920 in the town of Spencer to Conrad and Margaret (Kramp) Boehm. She attended Cameron School and St. John's Parochial School in Marshfield. She was united in marriage to Ernest O. Krause on May 1, 1946 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Spencer. He sadly passed away on December 12, 2004.

Prior to her marriage, she served in the United States Air Force serving during World War II from June 8, 1944 until her honorable discharge in Fort Bragg, NC as a corporal on December 19, 1945. She was stationed in Selma, Alabama as an airplane mechanic.

Agnes worked at Roddis Plywood and Weinbrenner Shoe Factory in Marshfield prior to helping her husband in the mason/bricklaying business until they retired.

She was a member of the VFW Post 1866 Auxiliary of Marshfield where she was the "Veteran of the Year" in 2001, received the "Veteran of The Year" from Marshfield Veterans Council and a member of the Eagles Club No.624 Auxiliary. Agnes worked with the VFW Jr. Bowling Tournament for over 20 years.

Agnes is survived by sister Lorraine Lillge of Marshfield, her good friends, Ruth and Jerry Nikolai, her neighbor for many years, Mary Lou and Butch Duerr of Marshfield and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband Ernest, she was preceded in death by her brothers Oscar, George and Edward Boehm, sisters Verna Cournoyer and Marge Cramer.
