Alvin Rabehl, age 65 of Greenville and formerly of Marshfield, passed away on December 21, 2012 at his home. He was born on July 5, 1947 in the clinic at Colby, Wisconsin, son of the late Alvin Rabehl, Sr. and Gladys (Knorr) Rabehl.
Al started out as a milkman, worked for Weathershield, sold Electrolux vacuums, and ended his career as an over-the-road truck driver. He loved hunting and fishing, camping, and the outdoors. He was well known as "the lawn mower man" since he had the best manicured lawn of over five acres located on Highway H in Marshfield.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of forty-six years: Carol Rabehl of Greenville; and three children:
Tammy (Craig) Northway of Chili and their children: Lucas (Jessica) of Mosinee and Ashley (Jared) of Eau Claire;
Jerry (Shari) Rabehl and their children Jesse and Jacob of Marshfield;
Lisa (Diego) Freund and their children Cassandra, Brittany, Dalton, Dominique, and Nicholas of Appleton.
Al is further survived by his sisters: Dorothy (Russell) Rueden of Stetsonville; Sharon (late Wayne) Boehm of Wausau; his brothers: Victor (Patti) Rabehl of Ogema and Chris (Betty) Rabehl of Athens; and his in-laws: June (Jerry) Johnson of Medford; Janet (Tom) Kieffer of Loyal, Dave (Kim) Hodd of Colby. There are also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws: Robert and Cecil Hodd, and two brothers-in-law: Jerry Hodd and Bobbie Hodd.
A memorial service for Al will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Zion United Methodist Church, 2106 N. Peach Avenue in Marshfield. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
