Jepsen, Francis A.

Francis C. Jepsen, 90 of Marshfield and formerly of Pittsville area died on Wednesday evening, October 30, 2013 at Gold Horizon Assisting Living in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be 11am Monday, November 4, 2013 at Crossroad Community Church in Pittsville with Rev. Bruce Naugle officiating. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, Pittsville.

Visitations will be from 9:30am Monday at the church until time of services.

Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Francis was born on January 27, 1923 in the town of Hiles, Wood County to Christ and Dora (Remington) Jepsen. He attended City Point School and attended Pittsville High School.

On March 29, 1942 he was united in marriage to Carol Stein who sadly passed away on January 23, 2006.

He served in the United States Army from March 27, 1945 until his honorable discharge on October 21, 1946. When he returned, he farmed in t own of Arpin and also worked for the Wood County Highway Department for 30 years, retiring in 1985.

Francis is survived by one son William Jepsen of Arpin, two daughters Roseline Gossett of Fountain Inn, SC and Angeline (Tom) Olsen of Suwanee, GA; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is further survived by one sister Ann Kulinich of Elmwood, Park, IL.

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law Elwin Gossett and two brothers.
