John N. Weiler, age 77, of 210 Crestview Lane, Nekoosa, died Sunday, October 13, 2013 in Nekoosa.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa on Friday at 11:00 AM. Rev. John Swing will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa on Thursday from 4:00 PM. until 7:00 PM. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM. until the time of service. John was born December 24, 1935 in the town of Auburndale to Henry and Elizabeth (Schill) Weiler. He married Susan Love on May 2, 1964 in Port Edwards. John served in the US Air Force from April 4, 1957 until April 3, 1961. John was employed by Georgia Pacific (Domtar) in the Shipping Dept., retiring in 1996 with over 30 years of employment. He was a member of Catholic Knights for over 50 years. His interests included hunting, fishing, coin collecting, metal collecting and using his metal detector.
He is survived by his wife, Susan of Nekoosa, 4 children, Michael (Kim) Weiler of Nekoosa, Alan (Dawn) Weiler of Abeline, TX, David (Rita) Weiler of Wisconsin Rapids, and Donald (Una) Weiler of Krakow, 9 grandchildren, Courtney, Nicole, Hunter, Nicolas, Karlee, AJ, Kayla, Chyann, and Dylan, 1 brother, Joseph (Arlette) Weiler of Blenker; 2 sisters, Margaret (Alex) Lobner of Vesper, and Virginia (Thomas) Becher of Franklin and 2 sisters in-law, Violet (Richard) Zabel of Wisconsin Rapids and Shirley Weiler of Auburndale.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Robert, Henry and Peter, infant brother, Nicholas, and 1 sister, Lucille Lobner.
