CHARLESTON, Ill. — Joyce Wundrow, 53, of Charleston and formerly of Marshfield, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012, at her home.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Services honoring and celebrating her life will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday at the Funeral Chapel with Jill Martinez of Bloomington, Indiana officiating. Following the services her physical body will be cremated.

It is requested that memorial gifts in her honor be made to the Charleston Food Pantry or to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. Gifts may be left on the memorial table at the visitation or service, or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920.

Joyce was born on Oct. 9, 1958, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, the daughter of Gerald and Marilyn (VanDreel) Wundrow. For more than 26 years Joyce shared her life with her husband, Fred Becker of Charleston.

She is also survived by her mother, Marilyn VanDreel-Rhodes of Marshfield; a sister, Christine Wundrow of Marshfield; a brother, Rick (Sherri) Varsho of St. Paul, Minn.; an uncle, Richard (Linda) Woodkey of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; her father-in-law, Greyton Becker Sr. of Charleston, Ill.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Frances (Jerry) Daniels of Charleston, Ill., Ophelia (Jerry) Tubbs of Overland Park, Kansas, Pamela Becker of Charleston, Ill., Greyton (Pamela) Becker Jr. of St. Paul, Minn., Peter Christopher Becker of Charleston, Ill.; nieces and nephews, Vincent Varsho, Erin (Danny) Walters, Brian Tubbs, Laura (Steve) Mullin, Jennifer (Ric) Oliva, Rebecca Becker, Greyton Becker III, and Shaina (Kris) Wagner of Marshfield; and her cousins, Jennifer and Megan Woodkey.

She was preceded in death by her father.

For many years Joyce worked at Ministry Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin as an admitting clerk and a pharmacy technician. Her many interests in life included award winning photography, sharing a love of music with Fred and spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking. Equally as cherished were her travels with Fred to favorite lake and woodland sites in Wisconsin which provided backdrops for many of her favorite photos.

Foremost in Joyce's life, however, was her love for her family and the special relationship she shared with Fred as his wife and companion in life She will always be remembered for her gentle, generous and loving nature.
