Lois C. Aschenbrenner, 81, of Black River Falls, WI; passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, at Pine View Care Center, Black River Falls.
She was born December 3, 1931, in Ironwood, Michigan; to Ervin and Evelyn (Christianson) Radtke.
Lois attended and was a graduate of McKinnley High School in Marshfield, WI.
She was united in marriage to Harold "Bud" Aschenbrenner; on August 4, 1951, in St. John's Catholic Church of Marshfield.
They began their life together in Marshfield and remained there until 1965, when they then moved to Neillsville, WI.
In 1970, Lois and her family moved to Black River Falls, WI; where she became a CNA and earned her EMT certification.
Lois loved camping and welcomed anyone to be part of her exclusive Midnight Cowboy Club.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Black River Falls; and the American Legion Post 200 Auxiliary of Black River Falls.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Our hearts are heavy knowing that we no longer are be able to share our lives with her, however; she is no longer suffering and for that, we are grateful.
Lois was preceded in death in April 2012, by her eldest son Raymond. She is survived by her husband, Harold "Bud"; daughter, Debra (David) LeTexier of New Lisbon, WI; sons Paul (Peggy) of Three Lakes, WI; and John (Mary) of Onalaska, WI; and daughter-in-law, LuAnn Aschenbrenner of Black River Falls, WI; 9 grandchildren, Jesse Aschenbrenner, Heather Thomas, Aaron Aschenbrenner, Ginger Millis, Mark, Alex, and Ryan Aschenbrenner, Erin Holt, and Taylor LeTexier; 10 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends are invited for visitation Sunday, April 21, 2013, 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., at Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls.
A Mass of Christian burial will be officiated by Father Peter Raj on Monday, April 22, 2013, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale, WI. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Auburndale. Following the burial family and friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon in St. Mary's Church basement.
Visitation will also be held o Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at the church.
Buswell Funeral Home of Black River Falls is assisting the family with arrangements.
