Lorraine A. Hamus, 88 of Marshfield died peacefully on Monday, December 31, 2012 surrounded by her family at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Friday, January 4, 2013 at St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Logan officiating. Cindy Penker along with St. John's Funeral Choir will provide the music for the service. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Hewitt with Vaughn and Travis Heyer, Raymond Jr. and Russell Bauer, Tom and Gene Hamus serving as pallbearers.
Visitations will be on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 4-7pm at the Rembs Funeral Home with a Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary service at 4pm. Visitations will be held again on Friday at the church from 9:30am until time of service.
Lorraine was born on June 16, 1924 in Marshfield to John and Anna (Resch) Hamus. She attended St. Michael's Parochial School in Hewitt.
She worked at Weber's Supermarket downtown Marshfield until they closed then at Adler's Bakery. Lorraine retired from St. Joseph's Hospital from the laundry department.
Lorraine is survived by her two sisters, Mary Ann Heyer of Marshfield, Lucille Bauer of Auburndale and a brother Eugene (Wanda) Hamus of Auburndale and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Irving Heyer and Raymond Bauer.
