Marlyn M. "Marilyn" Bargender, 72 of Marshfield died on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville with Fr. Sabastian Venni officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitations will be from 4-8pm Friday at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again on Saturday at the church from 9:30am until time of service.
Marlyn was born on April 24, 1940 in Tomahawk to Melvin and Agnes (Bushor) Hoff. She attended Tomahawk High School.
She was married to Don Buchanan and later divorced before moving to Marshfield. While living in Marshfield, she was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory and met Vincent F. Bargender. They got married in 1992 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Hewitt. They operated Mr. B's Dairy Bar on highway 13 from 1983-1989. After their retirement she enjoyed polka dancing, was an avid antique collector and was a great cook and baker.
She is survived by her husband Vincent, children David (Kimara) Buchanan of Ferndale, WA, James (Michele) Buchanan and Becky Buchanan both of Bellingham, WA, Patrick Buchanan of Marshfield, stepchildren, Glen (Lindy) Bargender, Kenneth (Gloria) Bargender and Keith (Dawn) Bargender all of Marshfield; 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her twin brother Milan Hoff of Rhinelander, two sisters Judy (Jerry) Crass of Tomahawk and Barbara (Frank) Berg of Antigo, and stepmother Rose Hoff of Tomahawk.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son and an infant sister.
