Ronald D. Krug, 51 of Marshfield, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. He had been dealing with non-hodgkins lymphoma since 2009.
Services will be 11am Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield with Fr. Jim Logan officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Alayna Fredrickson and Deitrik Ellis and active pallbearers will be Les Bainer, Mike Williams, Jr., Travis Krug, Matthew Tysver, Jim Doepke and Mike Ossman. Burial will be in McMillan Memorial Cemetery in the town of McMillan, Marathon County.
Visitations will be from 4-7pm Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again on Thursday from 10am until time of services.
Ron was born on December 19, 1960 to Dale and Loretta (Brushaber) Krug in Marshfield.
He was united in marriage to Laurie A. Williams on December 17, 1982 in Marshfield.
Ron was employed for over 34 years at Weyerhaeuser Company, now Marshfield Doors Systems as a fork lift operator. Ron was a foster parent to many children over a period of 20 years. He enjoyed building computers and fixed all of the families computer problems. Ron was an avid Packer fan, enjoyed bowling, camping, casinos, wrestling, traveling, building lego kits and collecting Packer memorabilia, wildlife and monkeys figurine. Ron was the human jungle gym for all the nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife Laurie and parents Dale and Loretta Krug of Spencer, he is survived by his children Wesley McKinney of Stanley, Matthew Krug of Marshfield, foster children Zachary, Jenna and Hailey all of Marshfield and Grandson Deitrik Ellis. He is further survived by one brother Steven (Zenny) Krug of Kosovo and two sisters, Laurie (Jim) Doepke of Spencer and Patti (Les) Bainer of Spencer; godchildren, Matthew Tysver of Chili, Alayna Fredrickson and Jackson Holter of Marshfield along with many nieces and nephews.
