Samuel Steven Himes, age 41, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 15, 2012. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Friday, April 20, 2012 at North Ridge Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Jason Hirsch and the North Ridge Family will officiate the services. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Church and again on Friday from 10:00AM until the time of service. Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Sam was born January 2, 1971 in Milwaukee, the son of Samuel R. and Mary L. (Placeway) Himes. He graduated from Brookfield Central High School in Milwaukee and went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Bethel College in Minnesota. Sam worked as a Finish Carpenter. On September 10, 1994 Samuel was united in marriage to Mary Kay Langenbach.

Sam cherished time spent with family, friends and especially his children. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badgers Fan. Samuel enjoyed boating, camping, and traveling. He especially enjoyed wrestling with his children and listening to classic 70s music. Those who know him best will always remember him for his sense of humor and love of Ronald Regan.

Sam is lovingly survived by his wife, Mary Kay; and two children, Hayley Himes and Samuel Himes IV all of Marshfield; He is further survived by his parents, Samuel R. and Mary L. (Placeway) Himes of Milwaukee; as well as, two sisters Amy (Daniel) Sterud of Prescott, WI. and Corrie Himes of Milwaukee. Sam is also survived by his nieces; nephews; cousins; and many other family members. He will truly be missed!

Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Sam's name are encouraged to do so to Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in memory of the wonderful care they provided him.
