She lived in Minneapolis and St. Louis Park, MN, for over 30 years. Terri was a senior healthcare professional with extensive experience in finance and strong experience in reimbursement, business management, insurance, coding and overall financial operations. During this time, she also served as the Coding Consultant to the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology, answering physician/staff questions and writing a column for the newsletter. She maintained that role for 10 years.
Terri began her career as a Supervisor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota and was promoted to Manager. She turned chaos into order and gained the respect of physicians and ophthalmology employees, as well as other medical school staff. She presented Medicare teaching physician rules to all departments at the University. Terri set up two separate Grand Rounds sessions for presentations by the Medical Director of Medicare, advised residents and fellows, set up practice for a neuro-ophthalmology fellow, and supervised the volunteers.
