Virginia K. Koller, 101, Auburndale, died on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Miller Alternative Care, Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale. Rev. Peter Raj will officiate and a great niece, Lora Mercier will be the soloist. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:30 pm until service time at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Virginia was born on May 29, 1911 in Stratford, the daughter of Felix and Katherine (Werner) Wilcott and was a graduate of St. Joseph's Parochial School, Stratford. She was united in marriage to Wenzel J. Koller on September 23, 1930 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford. He died on June 19, 2001.
Virginia worked in the drapery department as a seamstress at Marshfield Homes and later was employed at Wiskerchen Cheese Factory for 12 years.
She enjoyed playing cards and dominos with her friends. She also enjoyed family visits and playing the violin and organ. She was an excellent seamstress and made her own clothes and many wedding dresses. She sewed until just a few years ago. She was disappointed when she could no longer thread a needle.
Virginia is survived by a sister, Alice (Paul) Williams of Thorp and a sister-in-law, Lois Wilcott. She s further survived by nieces, nephews and great and great great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, 2 sisters, Cleo (Virgil) LePert and Marcella (Jerry) Woodkey and 2 brothers, James Wilcott and Eugene Wilcott.
