Orville G. Hansen, age 91, of Marshfield, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Marshfield Care Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, 11284 Hwy 10 West, Marshfield. Pastor Jordan Scott will officiate. A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will follow the service at Grace Lutheran Cemetery.

Orville Gordon Hansen was born May 31, 1922 to Calla and Art Hansen. He grew up in the Nasonville area. Orville graduated from Marshfield High School. After high school, he worked in Milwaukee as a steel grinder for Strathman Broth. Shortly after, he was drafted into the Army. Following his medical discharge, Orville married the love of his life, Jeanette Ott, on Christmas day 1944. Orville spent most of his life, as a hard working farmer in the Nasonville area.

The most important thing that he had cherished was his family and friends. Orville liked to play cards weekly, snowmobile, boating, hunting, traveling, making maple syrup, and dancing. Most of all, Orville loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Orville is survived by three siblings: Myrtle Pleckham, Arlene Schrader, and Norbert Hansen; his children: Roger (Lynda) Hansen of Marshfield and Tammy (Tom) Ramlet of Eau Claire; his grandchildren: Ryan (Zurica) Hansen, Kirk (Brenda) Hansen, Kristi (Jeremy) Ely, Cortney Ramlet, and Michael Ramlet; and his great grandchildren: Aaron Hansen, Carter Hansen, Trinity Ely, and Jayden Ely.

Orville is preceded in death by his parents: Calla and Art Hansen, his wife, Jeanette Hansen, and son, Gordon Hansen.

A memorial will be established in Orville's name at a later date.

Orville's family would like to extend a special thank you to the Marshfield Care Center for their compassionate care they provided, especially to care givers: Jess, Debbie, and Rajda. They would also like to thank Earl and Darlene Cammers and Annie Lyon for making his final years special and giving them purpose.
