Armelda Elizabeth Koller (Johnson) 85, passed away on February 28, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She had been a resident at the North Haven Assisted Care in Stevens Point and under the care of Heartland Hospice.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Thursday, March 6, 2014 at St. Kilian's Catholic Church in Blenker with Fr. Barnabas Kyea officiating. St. Kilian's Folk Choir will provide the music for the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitations will be from 4-8pm Wednesday, March 5th at the Martens/Rembs Funeral Home in Junction City and again on Thursday at the church from 10am until service time. There will be a Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary service at 7pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Armelda was born on December 2, 1928 in Rudolph to Anthony and Anna (Joosten) Johnson.
She was united in marriage to Raymond C. Koller on August 24, 1954 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Ray died on December 16, 2007.
She farmed with her husband for 53 years on the family farm in Milladore, WI. She was a mild mannered individual who brought joy to those around her. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile which always brightened the room. She especially enjoyed family gatherings.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; Donald (Sandra) Koller of Stillwater, MN; David (Joan) Koller of Jordan, MN; William Koller of Milladore; Raymond (fiancée Irene) Koller, Jr. of Milladore; Cindy Koller of Pittsburg, CA, Karen (Jeff) Holt of Eden Prairie, MN; Ann (Wayne) Buchberger of Hancock ; Allen (Kelly) Koller of Sobieski; Randy Koller and special friend Tracey of Almond; 17 grandchildren and brothers; Earl Johnson of Wisconsin Rapids and Jerry (Darlene) Johnson of Nekoosa and sisters, Marie Hamm of Wisconsin Rapids; Lois Bathke of Wisconsin Rapids; and Jane Johnson of Nekoosa.
Loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond; brothers, Harry Johnson, Clayton Johnson; sisters, Mildred Steege; Hazel Kampschoer.
The family would like to provide a special thanks to the loving staff at North Haven Assisted Care, where she was a resident for the past four years, and who became her extended family; and the caring staff at Heartland Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the
