Kleifgen, Gregory J.

Gregory J. Kleifgen, 50 of City Point died at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 under the care of Black River Hospice.

Memorial services will be 10:30am Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home in Pittsville with Fr. Robert Nelson officiating. Burial will be in St. Joachim's Cemetery at a later date.

Family will receive relatives and friends from 9am Saturday until time of services at Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home.

Greg was born on November 30, 1963 in Marshfield to Donald and Joan (Wolf) Kleifgen. He attended Pittsville High School.

Greg was a loving and enjoyable young man. He loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed his fishing trips to Canada with his best friend Keith Leach. He drove truck for 27 years and had many miles over the road, visiting many states. His dream was to be an ice road trucker in Alaska. Greg worked seasonally for Borek Cranberry Company in City Point.

We loved our time with our brother. He had a unique sense of humor. We will miss him dearly.

We would like to thank Chris for all his help, taking care of him and being here when he needed him the most. Chris was a true friend to Greg, more like a son he never had.

We will miss you Greg.

Greg is survived by his daughter Alyssa (Ethan Byrns) Kleifgen of Black River Falls, his father Donald Kleifgen of City Point; siblings Deb (Mike) Scheurer of Pittsville, Tammy (Dale) Steponik of City Point, Mark (Johnalee) Kleifgen of Auburndale, Rose (Terry Quinlan) Kleifgen of Pittsville, Brenda (Dick) Jacobs of Willard, Mike (Lisa) Kleifgen of Clarksville, TN, Matthew (Holly) Kleifgen of Allegan, MI, and Lucretia (Lonnie) Macha of Pittsville. He is further survived by Auntie and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Joan.
