Noll, Donna C.

Donna C. Noll, 83, Marshfield, went peacefully to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family on, on Monday, April 28, 2014, at Ministry St. Joseph's Palliative Care, Marshfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 2, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Reverend Samuel Martin officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4pm until 7pm at Rembs Funeral Home and also on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Neumann, Kevin Carolfi, Ryan Carolfi, Dennis Lange, David Tiffany and Jim Hastreiter.

Donna was born on April 19, 1931 in Marshfield, the daughter of Raymond "Ike" and Clara (Herman) Machlett. She attended parochial schools in Marshfield, Neillsville, and Marshfield Senior High School.

She was united in marriage to Walter E. Noll on May 17, 1947 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and they were married 66 years. Donna had been employed at Clover Cream Dairy and then Wing Drug from 1963 until her retirement in 1984. For nearly 20 years they wintered at Lake Bonnet in Avon Park and also in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Throughout her life Donna enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes, including needlework, cross stitch, and macramé, sharing creations with her family and friends. She loved reading, keeping journals, writing letters, and reminiscing about the past with her children. A favorite hobby was going to flea markets and garage sales, scouring them for cookbooks, collectables, and anything that glittered, such as hats, purses, and shoes. She treasured her small house of many years, making it a home filled with love, living for her husband and her children, being voted "the best mom ever" by her family.

She is survived by her husband, Wally, and their five children, Richard (Ann) Noll of Milwaukee, Sandra (Ron) Neumann of Marshfield, Kristine (Jerry) Morrison of Fayetteville, NC, Carole (Dennis) Lange of Columbus, WI, and Karl (Julie) Noll of LaCrosse, WI. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Cris (Kevin) Carolfi, Mark (Moriah) Neumann, Steven (Bambi) Godkin, Edward Godkin, and Kim Morrison, and five great grandchildren, Kelly, Ryan, Joe, Jack, and Haven.

She was predeceased by her parents and a son-in-law, Carl Godkin.

Memorials may be designated in Donna's name to the Clark County Humane Society.
