Helen A. Kubs, 92 of Marshfield died peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Marshfield Living Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Monday, July 7, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Sam Martin officiating. Cindy Penker along with St. John's Funeral Choir will provide the music for the services. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield with Joe Scherr, Zach Scherr, Joe Sinn, Joe Schill, Gene Kubs and Peter Weber as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike and Jody Scherr.
Visitations will be at the church on Monday from 9:30am until service time.
Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Helen was born on March 22, 1922 in the town of Little Black, Marathon County to John and Margaret (Skarvan) Kubs. Helen worked at Mirro Matic Company in Two Rivers for three years. She then moved back to Marshfield and was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory for 35 years, retiring in 1987. She loved to cook, garden and travel.
Helen is survived by her sister Angeline (Robert) Scherr and two sisters-in-law Ruth Kubs and Grace Kubs both of Marshfield. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas, twins Sylvester and Wenzel and Elroy Kubs; one sister-in-law Marcella Kubs.
