Dolores A. Kumm, 84, Pittsville, died on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at St. Joachim's Catholic Church, Pittsville. Rev. Sebastian Venni will officiate and music will be provided by a granddaughter, Amy Gachnang. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, and on Saturday from 9:00 am until service time at St. Joachim's Catholic Church. A Knights of Columbus Maryheart Council #10522 of Pittsville rosary service will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
Dolores was born on September 4, 1928 in the Town of Cary, Wood County, to William and Elizabeth (Resler) Hutter. She was a graduate of Pittsville High School. She was united in marriage to Floyd E. Kumm on August 5, 1947 in Bakerville.
Dolores was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic Church, the Parish Council of Catholic Women and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, going to the casino, baking and was the best cook. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd, and their children, Larry (Pam) Kumm, of Mansfield, IL, Karen Brownell of Babcock, Richard (Joan) Kumm of Pittsville, Dennis (Pam) Kumm of Pittsville, Theresa Bredemann of Marshfield, Kathy Brody of DePere, Judy Gachnang of Vesper, Jerome (Carmen) Kumm of Pittsville, Jim Kumm (Becky) of Pittsville, and Joe (Tammy) Kumm of Pittsville. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Dorothy Smith of Marshfield, a brother, John (Roselene) Hutter of Spencer, and stepsisters, Dorothy Halbrader of Marshfield, Evelyn Wojcik of Arpin, and a stepbrother, Arnold Baltus of Wisconsin Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Roger and Ronald, 2 sons-in-law, Kenneth Bredemann and David Gachnang, 2 sisters, Gladys Wolf and Beatrice Sojka, 2 brothers Wayne Hutter and Harold Hutter, and several step brothers.
