George W. Trudeau, age 80, of Marshfield, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield with his family by his side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 15, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield. Father Peter Raj will officiate. Burial with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post #54 of Marshfield. A time of visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of services Friday at the church. The Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield is serving the family.

George was born on March 12, 1932 in Marshfield, the son of George E. and Theresa (Eckes) Trudeau. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Korea from 1952-54. On November 13, 1954, George was united in marriage to Audrey Graettinger at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield.

He worked on the family farm before serving in Korea and after his discharge worked at Prince Corporation for 42 years. George loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed old cars, especially his 1941 chevy, polka music and cooking.

George is survived by his wife of 58 years, Audrey; five children: Barbara (Todd) Schober, Fremont, WI, Alan (Colleen) Trudeau, Bluffton, SC, Daniel Trudeau, Marshfield, Jon (Deb) Trudeau, Hewitt and Michael P. (Julie) Trudeau, Hewitt; nine grandchildren: Jason (Cassie) Schober, St. Paul, MN, Lucas (Dana) Trudeau, Greenville, SC, Emalee (Jesse) Baker, Buffton, SC, Lexi Trudeau, Charleston, SC, Cale, Crista and Patrick Trudeau, Amanda and Carrie Trudeau all of Hewitt and one great-granddaughter, Madalyn Baker, Bluffton, SC. He is further survived by his brother, Robert (Betty) Trudeau, Marshfield; a brother-in-law, James (Jenny) Graettinger, Tomahawk; two sisters-in-law: Shirley Buffington, Marshfield and Betty Borisch, Oshkosh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Theresa; two brothers-in-law, George Buffington and Lester Borisch.
