Crist, Everett H.

Everett H. Crist, 75 of Phillips and formerly of Marshfield died on Friday morning, July 19, 2013 as a result of an automobile accident in Phillips.

Memorial services will be 11am Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Marshfield with Pastor David Burke officiating.

Family will receive relatives and friends from 10am Friday until time of services at the church.

Rembs Funeral Home of Marshfield is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Everett was born on November 26, 1937 in Jim Falls, WI to Harry and Margaret (Lawrence) Crist and attended various academy schools in Wisconsin.

His first marriage was to Jacquelene Weber on August 24, 1957 and she died on April 16, 2003.

He was then united in marriage to Mary A. Rudie on May 26, 1977 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield.

Everett was employed at Weyerhaeuser Company of Marshfield for over 34 years, retiring as a plant superintendent. He was a chief union steward for United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local #1733.

After his retirement, they moved to Solberg Lake in Phillips where he enjoyed nature, gardening and was an avid reader of books from the Phillips Public Library. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and member of the Gardening Club of America.

He is survived by his wife Mary of Phillips, children Dennis (Jackie) Crist of Arpin, Pamela (Andy) Perry of Anchorage, AK, Kim (Kelly) Crist of Milwaukee and Jenny (David) Woellner of Marshfield; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren with one on the way. He is further survived by two brothers-in-law Earl Proud of Chippewa Falls and Walter Schroeder of Arpin, a sister-in-law Dorothy Crist of New Jersey and many nieces and nephews.

Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Phillips Public Library.
