Thomas M. "Tom" Wing

Thomas Wing, of Appleton, age 70, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Manor Care in Appleton. He was born on September 23, 1942 in the Town of Summit, the son of the late John B. and Alice V. (Patrie) Wing. Tom graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1961. In his earlier years, he was a state vice president of the Jaycees. Tom was the former owner of Wing's Camera and Cards in Merrill, and finished his career as an over the road truck driver. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Tom is survived by his wife: Barbara Wing; son: Scott Wing, Appleton; grandchildren: Noah, Scout, Jory, Kyan, and Cassidi; brother: John (Kathleen) Wing, Marshfield; sister: Alice Wing, Columbus, Ohio; and sister-in-law: Nancy (Allen) Prehn, Abbotsford. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Wing.

A private memorial service for Tom was held at the Wichmann Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the staff at Manor Care for the excellent care and compassion shown to Tom.
