Hokenson, Lee A.
Lee A. Hokenson 62 of Marshfield, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 22, 2013 doing what he loved, farming.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 11:00am at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield. Family will be receiving relatives and friends from 9:30 am Saturday until service time at Rembs Funeral Home.
Lee was born Jan 2, 1951 in Watertown, Minnesota to Arthur and Audrey (Borgersrode) Hokenson. He graduated from Marshfield senior high 1969 where he was involved in FFA and wrestling. He also attended two years of college at U W River Falls and found his dream for farming. Lee met and married the love of his life Cindy Dankemyer July 22, 1978. They have two beautiful children, Christopher and Kayla and just celebrated 35 years of marriage.
He enjoyed playing softball, racing snowmobiles and watching truck and tractor pulls. He loved dairy breakfasts, fairs of any kind, and anything pertaining to John Deere. He was a connoisseur of food in general but truly enjoyed sinking his teeth into the first piece of apple pie at family gatherings. He also enjoyed watching his children grow along with his fields and couldn't wait to get out to the barn to milk the girls. Lee and Cindy always enjoyed watching the sunrise, for a special moment before milking every morning.
Lee is lovingly survived by his wife Cindy, children, Christopher of Chili and Kayla at home and his two self-adopted farm boys Brandon Prust and Kenny Pettit whom he loved like his own sons. He is further survived by his mother Audrey and his brother Bruce both of Marshfield.
Lee was preceded in death by his father Arthur.
