Rose Jamrok Obituary
Rose M. Jamrok, age 87, formerly of Dorchester, WI, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Tendercare Travers City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 17, 2014 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Father Daniel Hackel will officiate. Burial will be held in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 1:00 until 4:00 PM Sunday February 16, 2014 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Dorchester and from 10:00 AM until time of services Monday at the church.
Rose was born on September 4, 1926 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Emil and Ann (Hrunek) Fitzlaff. She attended Dorchester Country School briefly and graduated from Gage Park High School in Chicago, IL in 1944. As a child, Rose loved spending her summers in Dorchester on the family farm and watching her father play softball.
On June 11, 1949, Rose was united in marriage to the love of her life, Edward M. Jamrok at St. Gall's Catholic Church in Chicago. Rose and Ed resided in the Chicago area where Rose was employed as a chemist at Liquid Carbonics for seven years and was instrumental in developing the aerosol Whip Cream that we know today.
Rose was devoted to her family and loved being active with her children. She was involved with the PTA and helped organize music shows for their school. Rose was also a wonderful musician, she enjoyed playing the Hawaiian and acoustical guitars, she played guitar for the Carbonite Band, performed at area nursing homes with friends and taught guitar lessons. Rose was also president of the Pleasantdale garden club. She enjoyed playing Parcheesi and Pinochle, Square dancing and Fishing.
Upon retirement, the couple moved to a lake home in Holcombe.
Rose is survived by her four children: Roseanne Jamrok of Interlochen, MI/Park City, UT, Thomas (Judy) Jamrok, Glen Ellyn, IL, William (Debora) Jamrok, Houston, TX and Richard (Diane) Jamrok of Cedar Rapids, IA; seven grandchildren: Melissa (Kevin) Hess, Elise (Dillon) Hodges, Jeffrey, Amanda, Quinn, Ashleigh and Madeline Jamrok.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward on April 20, 2008.

I first met Rose shortly before Christmas in 2012. However, I observed the loving relationship between Rose and her Daughter for several years as they enjoyed performances together at Interlochen Center For The Arts. She was always an elegant and dignified lady with a smile and attitude that would light up her environment. It was an honor to know her! Fortunatly, for her family, she will always be with them.

To the Jamrok family; I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I have find childhood memories especially one that your family took me to church and on the way way home stopping at the bakery on LaGrange Road for fresh baked bread. Everyone got a slice to eat on the ride home. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. It's so hard to lose your parents.
