Ronald Bressette Obituary

Ronald E. Bressette, 85, passed away Dec. 1, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center, with his family by his side.
Born in Ware, he was the son of the late George and Irene (Gregoire) Bressette. He was a lifelong resident of Palmer and Three Rivers, and a graduate of Palmer High School. Ronald was a veteran of the Korean War, serving 4 1/2 years in the Air Force, mostly in Germany, where he met the love of his life, Christa (Helbing). They married in 1955 and resided in Three Rivers. He was employed as an expediter by Cascades Diamond International Corp. for 38 years.
Ronald was a self-taught accomplished artist, winning both national and local awards; and for many years, taught oil painting to many. After the fire at St. Anne Church in Three Rivers, he sculptured the altar statue of Jesus on the Cross. With his wife assisting him, he also directed many St. Anne's Arts and Crafts Festivals.
Besides his parents, Ronald was predeceased in death by his beloved wife, Christa of 57 years; and his brother, Richard Bressette of Ware. He will be sadly missed by his loving children, daughter, Diana Bressette, with whom he lived; sons, Daniel Bressette and girlfriend, Linda Lavigne of Chicopee, Martin Bressette and his wife, Meg of Winthrop, MA; his sister, Eunice (Bressette) Bisnette and her husband Alfred (Joe) of Palmer; the family dog, "Fritzie"; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 beginning from the MOTYKA FUNERAL HOME, 2186 MAIN ST, THREE RIVERS, MA 01080 at 9:15 AM, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Divine Mercy Parish at 10 AM. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in St. Anne Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, December 19, 2016 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ronald's name to a charity of one's choice.
