Martha J. Fraro 1951 - 2013 SOMERS, CT - Martha "Marty" Jean (Koetsch) Fraro, 62, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend passed away on June 28, 2013 at Tufts Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springfield on January 25th to the late Raymond and Patricia (Morgan) Koetsch. Marty was a graduate of Cathedral High School, Springfield, MA and received her Associates Degree in Physical Therapy from Springfield Technical Community College. She was employed as a physical therapist for 20 years retiring in 2002 from Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. She belonged to a local support group for people with Multiple Sclerosis and was an avid card player. Marty loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed for her kind and loving ways. She leaves her devoted husband of 35 years, Daniel A. Fraro; her 3 sons, Christopher M. Fraro and his wife, Theresa of Land O' Lakes, FL, Daniel E. Fraro and his wife, Erin of Somers, CT, and John P. Fraro of Somers, CT; her 7 grandchildren, Danielle, Ryan, Darrion, Gavin, Patrick, Gretchen, and Kaden; a brother, Richard Koetsch and his wife, JoAnn of Springfield, MA; 4 sisters, Linda Fiore of East Longmeadow, Susan Straw and her husband, Robert of Springfield, MA, Nora Fernands and her husband, John of Wilbraham, MA, Amy Stocks and her husband, Darryl of Springfield, MA; many nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend, Karen Townsend. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, July 2nd from 4-8PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow, MA. Marty's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 3rd from the funeral home at 8:30AM followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Hampden, MA at 10AM.
