Roger D. Jones

Roger D. Jones 1934 - 2013 WINDSOR, LOCKS, CT - Roger D. Jones, 79, of Windsor Locks, CT passed away Monday, (July 15, 2013). Born March 26, 1934 in Suffield, CT son of the late George and Mary (Dayton) Jones, he grew up in Suffield and lived in Windsor Locks for the past 20 years. Roger was a lifelong active member of First Church of Christ Congregational, Suffield. He was an avid golfer and an overall sports enthusiast. He enjoyed poetry, he was a faithful, honest and charitable man but most of all he was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by two sons, Michael D. Jones of Westfield, MA, Roger D. Jones, Jr. and his wife, Rosana of San Miguel De Allende, Mexico; a daughter, JoAnn M. Sell and her husband, Glen of Huntington, MA; a granddaughter, Isabella Jones; his lifelong friend, Pat Fargnoli; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. His family will receive friends TODAY, Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 5-7 PM at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt. 159), Suffield. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013, 11 AM in the chapel of First Church of Christ, Congregational, 81 High St., Suffield.
