Wesley E. Ganssle
Wesley E. Gus Ganssle, 74, of Lower Saucon Twp., died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Lukes, Lower Saucon Twp. He is the husband of Ann R. (Minarik) Ganssle. Born in Hellertown on February 3, 1938 and the son of the late Joseph Fred and Mary (Nicholas) Ganssle. Gus was an Auto Mechanic and Shop Foreman at the former Gutshalls Chevrolet, Superior Auto and Jones Bros., all of Hellertown until his retirement. He was a member of Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown, Leithsville Vol. Fire Co. where he was the Assistant Chief, Fire Police, and Past Treasurer. He was also in the Army Reserves and a member of the Lehigh Valley Corvair Club. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife of 48 years; children: Gary M. of Bethlehem, Glenn J. husband of Rebecca L. (Seifert) of Bethlehem, David L. husband of Tammy (Gevert) of Schnecksville, Kristine K. wife of Carlos Carvalho of Bethlehem; siblings: J. Fred husband of Bertha Betty in NC; Howard F. husband of Dorothy Dolly of Bethlehem, Eldon C. husband of Marion M. of Hellertown, Raymond B. husband of Ramona of Coplay, Marie Applegate of Perkasie, Audrey T. wife of George T. Cawley of Hellertown; grandchildren: Samantha, Paul, Katrina, and Alexander. Predeceased by siblings: Ralph, Helen Adamek, and Regina. Services: Family and friends are invited to call 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street-Hellertown and 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at the Church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at: www.heintzlemancares.com.
