GlenRoy P. Meck
GlenRoy P. Meck, 88, of Macungie, died February 22, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Florence E. (Kemp) Meck. They were married January 25, 1947. Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Briden C., and Eula H. (Shoemaker) Meck. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie. Mr. Meck was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He was employed as a laborer at the former Macungie Foundry for many years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Macungie VFW and Macungie Fire Company No.1. Survivors: wife; daughters, Alice J. (Meck), widow of Carl G. Wimpy Rahn, Kutztown, Luella M. (Meck), wife of Barry J. Faustner, Emmaus; sons, Dennis J. Meck, Macungie, and Allen G., husband of Nancy H. (Sterner) Meck, Macungie; sister, Pearl J. (Meck), widow of Franklin A. Trexler, Mertztown. There are also three grandchildren, Melanie A. (Rahn) Chester, Paul E. Rahn, Anthony M. Woolley; and six great grandchildren. Services: Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 2 p.m. from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton, with Reverend Paul E. Bartlett officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Solomons Cemetery, Macungie. Friends may call Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the funeral home. On-line condolences may be recorded at www.ludwickfh.com
