Eva M. Heist
Eva M. Heist , 95, of Allentown, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012 in her home. Born in Allentown, she was thedaughter of the late William and Alice (Naugle) Menges. She was amember of Zion E.C. Church, Allentown, Herbert Lentz Post 29 VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Fearless Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Eva was also a member of American Legion Post 576 Auxiliary for the past 50 years. She was a sales clerk at theformer Lehs Department Store for 17 years. Survivors: Nephew, Mark Menges and wife Joan of Bethlehem; nieces, Beverly Menges of Reading, Pamela Harris of Toronto; sister-in-law, Doris Menges of Allentown; several grandnieces and nephews; extended family, Anita and Jeffrey Krause and family of Allentown. Eva was predeceased by her husband, Edwin C. Heist in 2000; five sisters; and two brothers. Services: To be held noon on Saturday, November 17, 2012 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc. 46 E. Susquehanna St., Allentown. A calling hour for family and friends to be held 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment to follow at St. MarksCemetery, Allentown. Contributions: Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to Zion E. C. Church, 222 W. Pam Harris, Randy McLeod, Katy and Emily Harris-McLeod all mourn and remember with love this fearless, feisty, tiny lady. She thought of others all her life, felt deeply, and said what she thought. She is loved and missed.
