Alfred H. Klimek, 91, of Venice, FL, formerly of Allentown and Pocono Mountains passed away peacefully on March 17, 2013, at home. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Frances (Brader) Klimek. He was born in Allentown on January 5, 1922 to the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Hammel) Klimek.He attended Allen High School and served in the US Navy from 1942 to 1945. He was a gunnersmate serving on the USS Sante Fe. He was employed by Aldrich Pump (Ingersoll-Rand) until his retirement in 1982. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, bowling, fishing and spending time with his family. Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Frances; daughter, Janice and her husband John Millets, Jr., of Northampton; son, Michael, of Hawaii; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother ,William, of Murphy, NC; sister, Helen Stephan, of Venice, FL. He was predeceased by his brother, Jacob and sister, Elizabeth. Services: He will be buried at the National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL. A Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m., April 7, at Holy Trinity Church, Egypt, PA, followed by a celebration of this life at the Barn House Village.
