Alvin B. Crider
Alvin B. Crider, 87 of Chambersburg passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012, in Franklin County. He was born in 1925, in Greenvillage, PA. He was the son of the late George & Annie (Horst) Crider. Alvin served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946 where he was awarded the Victory Medal. Alvin received his Professional Engineer License from the State of Pennsylvania and worked as the Facilities Engineer for GE in Allentown, for the majority of his working life. He was formerly a member of Seibert E. C. Church also in Allentown. Survivors: He is survived by his two sons, Larry E. (Paulette) Crider, Andrew B. (Carol) Crider; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaretta Heckman. Services: A memorial service will be held on December 15, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. in the Penn Hall Chapel, located at 1425 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201. Arrangements are by William F.
