Ambrose Zaun, 87, of Bethlehem died on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in his home. He was the husband of the late Joanne (Pribula) Zaun, who died in 2011. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Joseph and Theresa (Roth) Zaun. Ambrose worked for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp in the blast furnace and open hearth area for 40 years before retiring in 1986. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II and was awarded the Purple Heart medal. He was a member of the former St. John Capistrano Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Survivors: Daughter, Joanne Newman and husband, David of Henderson, NV; sons, Joe Zaun and wife, JoAnne of Salisbury Twp., Marion P. Zaun and wife, Cheryl of Bel Air, MD; grandchildren, Michelle, Shawn, Chris, Dave, Matt, Ambrey; great-granddaughter, MaiLee; brother, Frank Zaun of Bethlehem; sister, Anna Kauffman of Whitehall.
