Anna M. Kleintop
Anna M. Kleintop, 91, of Bethlehem entered into the nearer presence of her Lord on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late Douglas W. Kleintop, with whom she shared over 66 years of loving marriage. Born in East Mauch Chunk, Anna was the daughter of the late Edward and Nellie (Owens) Kannapel. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1940 and from Bethlehem Business College in 1941. She later became the head bookkeeper for Union Bank and Trust Company of Bethlehem. Anna was a secretary for the Moravian Book Shop and for the Board of World Mission for 19 years under Bishop Kortz. She was also a former treasurer of the Board. Anna was a member of the Speak No Evil Circle of the Moravian Kings Daughters for over 60 years. She was a very active member of West Side Moravian Church, where she was head sacristan with her husband for 25 years, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, was an elder, and a member of the Womens Fellowship group. She was also a volunteer for the
for 16 years. Survivors:
Daughter, Phyllis Yorks and her husband, Brinton of Woodinville, WA; sons, The Right Rev. Douglas H. Kleintop and his wife, Rosemary, James D. Kleintop and his wife, Teresa, all of Easton; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Anna was predeceased by her brothers, Charles and Edward Kannapel; and a granddaughter, Kelly Kleintop. Funeral service at 11 a.m., Saturday, at West Side Moravian Church, 402 3rd Ave, Bethlehem, 18018. Evening viewing hours will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. Memorial tributes may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com
