Anthony D. Cornetto, Jr., 63, of Macungie, died September 12, 2013 in his residence surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Elaine (Eppel) Cornetto. Born in Easton, he was the son of the late Grace (Carey) and Anthony D. Cornetto, Sr. His experience over 40 years in the transportation industry ranged from a shop mechanic to the director of parts and service departments for manufacturers, retiring in 2012. He was a member of St. Johns U.C.C., Emmaus. Tony loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Alburtis Rod and Gun Club, North American Fishing Club, and the Macungie VFW. He honorably served his country as a medic in the Army during Vietnam. He earned a Purple Heart, the Army Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 2 OS Bars. Survivors: Wife; son, Anthony D. Cornetto, III and wife, Courtney, of Severna Park, MD; daughter, Paulette, wife of Brent Labenberg, of Emmaus; brothers, Carmen Cornetto and wife, Freda, of Baltimore, MD and Samuel Cornetto and wife, Lori, of Allentown; sisters, Rose, wife of Matthew Gualano, of Allentown and Santa, wife of Pete LeVance, of Easton; grandchildren, Drew, Darren, Dylana, Isabella, Sylvie, and Lilia. Services: Memorial services with military honors will be held Monday, September 16, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Johns U.C.C., 139 North 4th St., Emmaus. Friends may call 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the church.
