Anthony P. Stanz, 97, of Coplay, died January 23, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was married to the late Agnes H. (Geosits) Stanz for 61 years. Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Gizella (Csekits) Stanz. He was a precious metals purchaser for the former Western Electric, Co., Allentown for over 30 years. Since 1947, he was the proprietor of Tonys Hobby Shop, Coplay. A World War II Army veteran, he served as a sergeant in the Military Police. Tony was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Coplay and its former Knights of St. George. He was a past treasurer of St. Elizabeths Credit Union, Northampton. Survivors: Sons, Anthony D. of Whitehall, Gerald S. with whom he resided; granddaughter, Jennifer wife of Gregory Tefankjian of King of Prussia. He was predeceased by siblings, Stella, Mary, Charles, Frank, and Cornelius. Services: 9:30 a.m., Saturday, January 26, Robert Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., St. Peters Catholic Church, Coplay.
