Carlton W. Weaver
Carlton W. Weaver, 81 years, of Egypt, Whitehall Twp., passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning May 15, 2013 in St. Lukes Hospice, Bethlehem, surrounded by his loving and dedicated family.Born in Egypt to the late George T. and Erma L. (Heilman) Weaver, he was the husband of Doris E. (Sell) Weaver for 57 years. Together they raised a very close knit family. A member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, he sang on the Choir for over 55 years, and was a member of Church Council. He was sexton of the former Egypt Union Church. A 1950 graduate of Whitehall High School, he proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict
, and was a member of the Donald S. Reinert VFW
Post 7293 in Egypt. Carlton was a maintenance mechanic at the Lehigh Valley Dairies and Beatrice Cheese for over 33 years, and member of the Teamsters. He was Past President of the Quarter Century Club of the Lehigh Valley, and enjoyed having a big garden. Survivors:
Besides his wife, daughters, Denise L. Smith and her husband Bob, Deneen L. Kiefer and her husband Bill; son, Dennis C. Weaver and his wife Cathy; grandchildren, Kimberly, Keith and Kelly; sisters, Doris Diefenderfer, Beverly Hacker and husband Glenn; brother, Bruce Weaver and wife Ruth; godsons, Dale and Keith; numerous nieces and nephews; predeceased by brother, Randall Weaver. 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013 in the Church, 4331 Main Street, Whitehall, PA 18052 with Rev. James W. Schlegel officiating. Viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m., in the Church Foyer; Interment Grandview Cemetery. Contributions:
