Catherine J. Posivak, 95 of Fountain Hill died Monday morning in Cedarbrook Fountain Hill Annex. Catherine was the wife of the late Joseph F. Posivak. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Anna (Tonscola) Horninger. Catherine was an excellent sewing machine operator working for the former Bethlehem Garment Factory and Baba Garment Factory retiring in 1980 after 40 years of employment. Catherine enjoyed sewing and baking. She had been a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local 234. She was a member of the former St. John Capistrano Church in Bethlehem. Survivors: She will be dearly missed by her son, Francis J. Posivak and his wife, Beth, of Bethlehem; along with her five grandchildren, Brian, Kevin, Katie, Michael and Scott; and her four great- grandchildren, Madison, Michael, Suzanne and Joseph. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Begany; her sister, Anna Schrenko; and her brothers, Joseph, Daniel, Stephen, Martin and John. Services: Funeral will be held on Friday, May 10, at 10 a.m., in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad St., Bethlehem, PA. Visitation will be Friday 9 to 10 a.m., at the funeral home.
