Dominic J. Ampietro
Dominic J. Nick Ampietro, 90, of Fountain Hill, died Friday, January 25, 2013 in Westminster Village in Allentown. He was the husband of Elizabeth Betty (Brey) Ampietro. They would have been married for 65 years this coming June. He was born in Freemansburg on March 4, 1922 to the late Anthony and Theresa (Italese) Ampietro. Nick graduated from Bethlehem Technical School, class of 1941. He honorably served his country in the US Marines, during WWII
. He worked at the Bethlehem Steel for 35 years in the pattern and template shops. After the shops closed, he worked at the Union/Lehigh Valley Bank in maintenance. He was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, and was a lifetime member of D.A.V. Nick enjoyed gymnastics, gardening, and coaching at Fountain Hill Little League. He also had a passion for helping others. His favorite times were spent with his family and attending his grandsons sporting events. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors:

1 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013, in St. Peters Lutheran Church, 474 Vine St., Bethlehem, PA 18015. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, and on Wednesday from 12 to 12:45 p.m. in church prior to the service.
