Dorothy H. Erdosy, of Northampton died Tuesday, February 12 in the Northampton Village, five days after her 98th birthday. She was the wife of the late Albert Al Erdosy, longtime teacher and outstanding football coach for Northampton High School. Born February 7, 1915 in Osceola, Mills, PA, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Solensky) Buckeye. She was a 1937 Graduate of Allentown Nursing School and she received her B.S. from Kutztown University. Dorothy was the School nurse for the Northampton Area School District for almost 30 years. Prior she worked at the Allentown State Hospital for 10 years. She was a member of the Queenship of Mary Church. Dorothy was the Past President of BPW of Northampton, Northampton School of Nursing, PSA Nurses and she was the Secretary for the AARP Northampton Chapter. Survivors: Daughter, Carol Marton, of Northampton; sons, John of Lehighton and Albert, of Allentown; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Buckeye; sisters, Irene Coyle and Barbara Shimall. Services: A Burial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 18 at 10:30 a.m. in the Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. There will be no calling hours.
