Edna May (Jacobs) Gancarz, 93, of Wind Gap, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she moved to Wind Gap, PA in 1999. She worked for General Instrument in Brooklyn, NY and was Madam President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign War of which she was an active member for more than 20 years. Survivors: She is survived by a daughter, Joan Drzewiecki; a son, Paul Gancarz; and step-son, Richard Ganser. She has 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband, Paul Gancarz; and daughter, Catherine (Rutowski) Brice. Services: A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 17 at St. Elizabeths of Hungary Church, 300 W. Babbit Avenue, Pen Argyl, PA. The interment will be private. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be sincerely appreciated in Ednas name directed to St. Lukes Hospice, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
