Frank J. Soldridge, 85, of Walnutport, Lehigh Twp., died March 21 at his residence. He was married to the late Josephine A. (Uhnak) Soldridge. Born in Whitehall, he was the son of the late Frank E. and Angela (Bult) Soldridge. He was a supervisor for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 30 years retiring in 1982. In addition, he took pride inoperating the family farm. An army veteran of WWII, he was past commander and home association president of American Legion Post #899, Lehigh Twp. as well as past commander of the Northampton County American Legion. He served as the finance officer for the American Legion District and was a member of the VFW Post #7293, Egypt.He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whitehall. Survivors: Companion, Pauline Santee, with whom he resided; daughters, Margaret Ann wife of Aaron Labanoski of Whitehall, Louise Minnich and companion Larry of Whitehall; sons, Frank J. III of Slatington, Barry Lee and wife Donna of Lehigh Twp., Thomas C. of Whitehall; five step-children; brothers, Robert of Slatington, Paul of Coplay; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, a great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by brothers, James and William. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, March 25, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m., St. John the Baptist Church, Whitehall.Call Sunday 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Monday 9 to 10 a.m. Interment, parish cemetery, Whitehall.
