Franklin W. Kleckner, 90, of Allentown, died December 11, 2012 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Alice E. (Pry) Kleckner, who passed away on November 4, 2012. Most of his life, Frank worked in sales. He worked for B Inc., Allentown, Hunter Engineering in St. Louis, MO, and was part owner in the Allentown Fairgrounds Farmers Market. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late William and Mabel Kleckner. Frank proudly served during World War II with the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant from 1 September 1942 to 30 October 1945. Frank participated in various Pacific campaigns in support of contingency operations. Sergeant Frank Kleckner was directly assigned and participated in offensive air action against the enemy while in the Pacific Area as a member of an aviation ground crew. Frank was extremely proud of his service to the United States Marine Corps and his love of this country to the day he passed away. Survivors: Sons, William F. Kleckner and his wife, Talitha of The Villages, FL, and Glen T. Kleckner and his wife, Louise of Allentown; daughter, Addie Ann, wife of Rick Sherer of New Tripoli; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services: Funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton Sts., Allentown. Call Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
