Gary D. Dunning, 94 years, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, November 12, 2013, in Saint Lukes Hospice. He was the husband of the late Marie (Van Doren) Dunning. Born in Long Pond to the late Stanley and Carrie (Everret) Dunning, he was a very proud Army Veteran of WWII attaining the rank of 1st Sgt. Gary retired as a Manager for Mary McIntosh after 33 years of dedicated service in Easton, Allentown, Miami and Reading. He enjoyed being a member of Easton Lodge #152 F&AM, and was a devoted volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Survivors: Daughter, Sherrill M. Rawlings and Al Bonnici of Bethlehem, and their extended families; granddaughters, Lisa Smith wife of the late Steven, along with Melissa Rawlings and her daughter Emma; brother, Stanley Dunning in Texas; predeceased by sister Elda Dunning in 2010 and son-in-law, Russell B. Rawlings in 2006. Services: Officiated by Rev. Gary L. Walbert will be Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the Gilbert Funeral Home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, PA 18052, located one block south of the Fullerton Ave. exit of Route 22.
